Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog that I have created to reveal a little bit about myself. My name is Angela Pineiro, I am a sophomore at The College of New Jersey majoring in Communications and Marketing. I am the sisterhood chair of my pledge class in the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. I currently am working in sales at the college bookstore. I have acquired a certificate in Spanish after having studied it for 10 years. Along with studying it I have visited Spain every summer for the past ten years allowing me to become extremely familiar with the culture. I have also studied French for 5 years and have hopes of one day visiting there and becoming further familiar with the culture. I have played sports all four years of highschool. I was on the varsity volleyball team for three years and was captain of the team my senior year. Freshman and Sophmore year I was also captain of my basketball team, being the second highest scorer my freshman year. As you can tell I am someone that loves to keep busy and am always up to something new.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to take a look at this blog that has been created to give you a glimpse of my extracurricular and social world. I think I am a highly complex individuals with an abundance of accomplishements, aspirations, and goals that can not all be displayed on a simple piece of paper.
My goal is to acquire a job in the Public Relations and Event Planning field that will enable me to use my well developed organization, time management and creativity skills. I look forward to furthering my education in these fields and am excited to begin an internship that will allow me to not only apply my skills but challenge me so that I will develop more.

This is a paper I wrote for the class Public and Mass Communication. It is about a set of controversial photographs showing the last few moments of a woman's life as she fell from a fire escape. This paper argues why these photographs are controversial and why they should not have been published nationally.

Leadership Skills

I have mentioned earlier I have had many leadership positions in my life. Other than being captain several times for different sports teams I have also lead many group projects. I also hold a leadership position in my sorority pledge class. I have posted a paper that I have written for a Leadership class I have taken that explains a challege I had to deal with while holding the leadership position of captain of the varsity volleyball team.
